Shein Haul

Let me start by saying this blog post has been in progress for WEEKS. I couldn’t finish it because I literally just kept ordering more and I was just like ehhhh, I’ll wait till the next order comes in so I can add that. I actually still have orders on the way but I am done waiting. PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one with a massive shopping problem, lol….

ANYWAY.

My core wardrobe comes from mostly online retailers. My most recent go-to has been Shein. So I am dedicating a blog post to brag about them!
I was hesitant at first because of super cheap prices, large variety of items and just of course, who isn’t a little nervous ordering clothes online? I asked around to see if anyone had actually ever bought anything from there and once I got confirmation, I took a leap of faith.
I am so impressed. WOW. Shein is doing it right! They have an amazing app where you can earn points (that translate directly to $$ towards your order), for basically opening the app or taking surveys! You can also earn points for writing reviews! You can’t beat the prices, great customer service and a dealbreaker for me, free returns!! If you know me, you know I rarely purchase from online retailers that don’t offer free returns (I’m lookin at you, Fashion Nova). I’ve placed 3 orders in a month with Shein (and that number has now doubled.. shhhhh). I’m basically just throwing my money at the company at this point lol.

The quality is surprisingly fantastic for the price. And be aware the tops are like $5, so when I say fantastic quality, I mean it won’t fall apart after wearing it a few times. *side note* I feel like since I shop mostly at places like Shein, Boohoo, PLT etc, when I shop at a boutique, I’m shook they are charging $38 for a good quality top!! Just me?? Okay…I know that is not expensive, I’m working on it people!! …I will also OBVI put up $38 for a great piece… don’t get me wrong, I’ll spend some more $$ for a great staple item.

At this point I’ve ordered from almost every clothing category. The bathing suits are a dreaaaammm! I’ve ordered (at this point), 10 (clearly have a problem) and they fit great! I had only 2 that didn’t work out for me. And 4 are still on the way! BTW their bathing suits and bodysuits are not returnable so if they don’t work out for me, you can expect to see them on my Instagram page @sydneyventoloscloset. This the page where I sell new or gently used clothing and accessories!
Okay now back to the haul.
I’ve ordered 3 skorts (yes, item of the season, trust me!), jeans, shoes, T-shirts and so many strappy tops! Some are still on the way but with the pandemic, I’m not sure when they will be showing up:(

I’ve noticed from my many, many orders, the bottoms tend to run a little big. I would never except to size down or like, even wear my normal size in any online retailers like this one, but I actually fit in a size S bottom. I would say their stuff is pretty true to size.

Wow, I can’t be stopped.

They also have a home accessories section with so many little gadgets that are really useful! Anything from shoe organizers (you know I already ordered those) to mini electric frothers! Worth a look.
